Science and Religion

I love the conversation.  I found this video from EWTN this afternoon of a Notre Dame physicist discussing the science v. religion "tension".  I particularly enjoyed his comments about St. Auggy.

  1. Thanks for this.
While none of this is news to me, it may be enlightening for mainline Protestants, who often assume that Catholics - be they Roman or Anglo - hold the same presuppositions about the sciences, evolution, etc. as do evangelical Protestants. Perhaps this runs parallel with Catholics *not* being hemmed in by 'sola scriptura'? I
well remember learning about basic genetics & Dr. Mendel in jr. high school, and my amazement that he was an Augustinian friar and a scientist.
