Science and Religion
I love the conversation. I found this video from EWTN this afternoon of a Notre Dame physicist discussing the science v. religion "tension". I particularly enjoyed his comments about St. Auggy.
Thanks for this. While none of this is news to me, it may be enlightening for mainline Protestants, who often assume that Catholics - be they Roman or Anglo - hold the same presuppositions about the sciences, evolution, etc. as do evangelical Protestants. Perhaps this runs parallel with Catholics *not* being hemmed in by 'sola scriptura'? I well remember learning about basic genetics & Dr. Mendel in jr. high school, and my amazement that he was an Augustinian friar and a scientist.
