  1. Well said! My children, one 28 with two girls of her own and a priest husband and the other a student and combat veteran at age 24, are Fr. Halt's kid's godparents. Both of mine are active in their local congregations and love the Lord. Neither are the product of well organized programs or exciting motivation. Both attended mass regularly throughout their lives and knew the church as a place where they were safe and loved. They stayed in the services and were taken out only when they bothered other people, and then only for correction of the situation or of their behaviour. It was in the sameness of the sacrament that they came to know God. May we all find grace to rear our children in our holy mother the church katholic, and may we find the grace to trust to ways proven by time rather than suggested by the changing fashons of any age.
